Ria Vandervis

Ria Vandervis is a familiar face to New Zealand audiences, with a screen career spanning more than two decades.
She first appeared on Kiwi screens in Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive before going on to roles in Harry, Underbelly, Packed to the Rafters and other Australian productions. Ria is best known in Aotearoa for her long-running role as surgeon Harper Whitley on Shortland Street.
A graduate of Unitec Performing Arts School, Ria brings years of experience performing and communicating in front of audiences.
Alongside her acting career, Ria is also a certified marriage celebrant, giving her extensive experience hosting live events and connecting with people in meaningful moments.
As an MC, Ria combines warmth, professionalism and confidence on stage, creating a relaxed and engaging atmosphere while ensuring events run smoothly.
