Mike Lane is the creator of the hugely popular Alternative Commentary Collective (ACC), one of the most distinctive and innovative media brands in New Zealand sport.
Originally launched as an alternative audio commentary stream for cricket, the ACC has grown into a major media platform covering cricket, rugby and league, building a passionate following through its unique mix of sport, humour and storytelling.
Mike is also the creator of the famous “Beige Brigade”, the cult fan movement that has become synonymous with New Zealand cricket crowds around the world.
As an experienced MC and keynote speaker, Mike brings energy, humour and great storytelling to the stage. Drawing on his experiences in broadcasting, media innovation and working alongside some of New Zealand’s biggest sporting personalities, he keeps audiences entertained while ensuring events run smoothly.
