Ric Salizzo is one of the most influential figures in New Zealand sports media, with a career spanning television production, sports management and international rugby.
He began as the first-ever media manager for the All Blacks, where he produced the groundbreaking behind-the-scenes documentary The Good, The Bad and The Rugby.
Ric later went on to create and produce two of New Zealand’s most successful sports shows — SportsCafe and The Crowd Goes Wild — helping redefine how sport was presented to Kiwi audiences.
His work has also extended beyond television, including chart-topping music and sport collaborations, authorship, and strategic roles within the game. Ric has served on the board of Blues Rugby and spent five years as CEO of Rugby United New York, working at the forefront of sports media and innovation.
